This is your time to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often go through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of any object it encounters so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt effortlessly and leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.
The design is also superior to the competition. It features a sleek, high-end piece that looks like an toy, not the loud and annoying robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to speed up cleaning.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot accomplish this feat. It did all of this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.
While it's not quite as sophisticated as the Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The J7+ is an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to determine whether they're working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the best option. These bots are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also have a number of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They are expensive at full retail but often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock produces some of our most loved robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. It's their cheapest auto-empty model. While it lacks certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing sacrifice a bit to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a place which many robot vacuums can really be a bit sloppy. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is superb and has very few missing in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled with a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map, or change the labels of rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make this machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place emptying the bin is done with relative ease. It has a large LCD screen that is very useful in setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for most people but it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design is one of the best in the industry, but it's expensive.
The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. robotvacuummops.com to buy the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions, and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovac I've tested that does an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robotvacs. This means it could get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It also can't climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who want an automated vacuum that can do it all.
If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are other options available. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive and has more features, including the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on plain floors, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac g30
eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set it up, simply snap on one of the side brush and turn it on, then plug in your charging dock. The app takes you through a few steps to connect it to Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock near an outlet for power and enough space for it to move, however.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact and will fit under many couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is more subtle compared to some rival models. It features a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The way that the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers better performance on bare floors and low-pile carpet. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be emptied as frequently and comes with an array of boundaries to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand, is more affordable and is much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently, and it has less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
